Mobile Developer Camp NYC 2011 — OHH YEA!
So this weekend I had the extreme pleasure of opening myself up to a whole new environment. This has been great experience for myself, It's been a while since I have been surrounded by such a group of people where I have soo much to learn from. I've only scratched the surface too!
I had the pleasure to work on a project that had was said to be the "most useful". I'm not completely done with it either I have plans to finalize it and really let the application loose, see where and how it works. But from this conference I've had Ideas for about 4 different application ideas. Hopefully once I free myself of a previous obligation I will be able to take on these app on a more hard core basis.
I will be in touch with a lot of new contacts I've made and will plan to take myself deeper into the mobile dev world professionally.
Iphone enabled site .. it’s so easy a baby can do it..
So basically it's all about presentation ... so for starters no flash atleast not yet.. want a video to show, no flv's, use gd2 or any other quick time format. but the key to the presentation is :
I't just one meta tag :
can you guys believe it so many people wanna flip head over heels to get this up and running correctly. I mean really it's just that easy.. all you need is good presentation.
Take my site of instance www.albert-rosa.com, simple design .. easy implementation.. now how about a flash enabled site hmmm. well take a walk over to www.umbro.com on your iphone You will see simplified version of the flashy umbro.com site but pure html and now with a viewport meta for iphones and mobile devices.
Well there are more to it than just that but I will get into it later. As for now Enjoy converting all your sites into the newly improved iphone view if you haven't so already!
Take care,
-Albert
